BIOMIMETICS

COLLABORATING  WITH  NATURE

Biomimetics: the imitation of the design models, functional systems, and elements/materials of nature, in order to sustainably solve complex problems.

HOW  WE  ACCOMPLISH  IT

The intrinsic designs of nature are absolutely fascinating. To replicate such unique features, lithography is required. Lithography however, is either costly, unscalable or simply time inefficient.

Nanotechnology has opened the way to unprecedented functionality in materials through size miniature. However, not every nanomaterial size is favourable for a given application, especially when material- and size-induced toxicity become open concerns. Even with the right functionality, not every material is compatibility within biological systems.

NanoArchitecture is the alteration of the arrangement of atoms within a material crystal lattice, to circumvent toxicity, enhance performance and enable biocompatibility.  You see this in nature, where carbon presents itself as either graphite or diamond.

With Nature as the substratum of inspiration, NanoArchitecture is the modus operandi and foundation stone of NANOARC's biomimetics division. We focus on the understanding of the atomic architecture within a material, that allows it to perform a certain way and tailor nanomaterials via atomic lattice engineering or simply put, NanoArchitecture, to achieve of a more effective, nontoxic material that performs as desired.

By combining NanoArchitecture with nanotechnology, we are able to amplify the desired functionality through quantum effects, and as a result, enable our clients to utilize much smaller quantities of our nanoarchitectured materials as additive, to deliver superior results.
