WHAT  IS  Q-TENDRILTM  ?

Q-TENDRILTM , is a nanoadditive developed by NANOARC's proprietary process, that seamlessly transforms a previously passive textile, into a high performing functional system.

It is the support unit for simple textile fibres, to help them reach beyond current possibilities and anchor previously untapped industrial potential. 

When you spray a surface with disinfectant or other surface-preserving liquids, the protection is temporary and often lost once the liquid evaporates, thus requiring multiple cleaning sessions, in order to kill pathogens or do more, like shield dangerous ionising radiation. 

However, if you create a platform where the protection is ubiquitous, with an active agent that remains present on the surface and doesn't evaporate, you offer a longer lasting protection.  We are making it possible for you to offer that lasting protection, with Q-TENDRILTM.

Q-TENDRILTM  is designed to offer an added protection to textiles, where previously there was none.

NANOARC is offering the textile manufacturers the opportunity to upgrade their existing textiles, into functional textile systems.

IMPLEMENTATION

NANOARC manufactures and supplies atomically-architectured Q-TENDRILTM nanoadditives as powders, which the textile manufacturer can dose as needed, for each field of use to upgrade their woven or non-woven material into a superior performing system.

The Q-TENDRILTM nanopowder can be mixed with adhesives the manufacturer already uses, then coated by pad-dry-cure, dip-coat, spray or any suitable technique they are currently implementing.

Atomically-Architectured Q-TENDRILTM material has a high surface area, which makes it more reactive and enables better adhesion to textile fibres.

No additional equipment is needed, the upgrade is a seamless, discrete addition, geared at providing valuable functionality, while retaining the desired aesthetic features of a textile.

EXPECTED  STABILITY

In conjunction with the appropriate adhesive(s), functional Q-TENDRILTM material leaching can be minimised to values as low as 5% after 10 wash cycles or 50% after 100 wash cycles.

ADDRESSING  FACE  MASK  & FILTER MEMBRANE  LIMITATIONS

Contemporary face mask and air filter membrane systems have an average porosity of 300 - 450 nm (0.3 - 0.45 micron). Viruses however, have an average size of 20 - 200 nm (0.02 to 0.2 microns). So to say, viruses are small enough to get through face mask and contemporary filter pores.

There's hence reason to have concern of face mask and related air filter membrane protection, considering the infection transmission to doctors and medical staff under higher exposure to harmful pathogens. This also entails patients protecting those in their surroundings from infectious airborne disease exposure.

By incorporating the Q-TENDRILTM anti-pathogenic nanoadditive as a coating during the final production phase of the filter layers, increased user protection can be provided, so that pathogens impinging on the filter membrane surface don't just face a physical barrier and accumulate on the outside with a likelihood of migrating beyond the barrier but rather, can be killed on the surface of the masks, clothing and air filters.
